Paw Patrol adventure game is a simple race-to-the-finish path game for young children. Based on the paw Patrol television series, players take control of one of six different Pups and use the spinner to move along the path. Grandma gave this board game to my kiddos because she's aware of their Paw Patrol obsession. While the game is OK, it seems to be missing something...especially in the clarity of the directions. It comes with cardboard game pieces, one of each of the 6 main pups. There are several cardboard badges for each pup. There's also a cardboard spinner, as well as the game board. The premise is simple enough, though I do agree the directions aren't the most clear. You spin the arrow and move to the corresponding color. You collect the pup badge for whatever color you landed on (once you have a red, you don't get another one next time you're on red). If you pass over a ladder shortcut, you take the shortcut if you've already collected that pup's badge. If you haven't, no shortcut. The one exception is your pup's ladder (your playing piece). You take his or her ladder whether you've collected the badge or not. Whoever gets to the end first wins. This game is basically Candy Land mixed with Chutes and Ladders, but shorter and with Paw Patrol characters. It's cute, and if your kiddo is super into Paw Patrol, it might be a good purchase. Otherwise I'd say you can skip it and just go with Candy Land!I bought this game for my 3 year old son and he loves it. There’s not to many pieces and it’s easy for him to understand but still fun. It's ok. My son loves Paw Patrol, so he enjoys the game. He will turn 5 soon. The game doesn't make much sense though. You basically spin the spinner and move to a color. You collect a badge for each spin. We don't really use them. The game is over in less than five minutes. The board itself is about the size of a long piece of printer paper. Nor sure if worth the price.Although my kids liked this game, it is made rather poorly. The game board was warped and the pieces are rather flimsy. for the price that I paid it should have been made more sturdy since small children play the game and are infamous for being harsh on the pieces. The warped game board made it impossible to lay completely flat, but we managed. Overall the kids like to play, but I would rather have a game that will last through several plays and I have my doubts about this one surviving very long. The kids did enjoy it and it was easy to play and the instructions were clear. My kids are 4, 6, and 7 and had no trouble mastering the moves and understanding what to do. I just can't get over how poorly made it is.It appears to be a lot like chutes and ladders, yet not as clear as to where the “cut-through” paths are supposed to be. I bought it for my 4 year old and it works well for her age.My kids loved this game. They are 3 and 7. The 3 year old needed a little help but caught on pretty quickly. We just had to remind her when to take the special paths and make sure she was moving her pup correctly.I gave this as a gift to the girl I babysit! She loved it and it's fun to play! It's a short game with an easy setup and clean-up
